What is a medical group?

Anyone who has HMO coverage through their health plan needs to choose a medical group. Your medical group is the connection between your health plan and you. As a member of our medical group, you have access to our network of primary care physicians, specialists, hospitals, urgent care centers, and labs. We also help organize and coordinate all of your care, and provide valuable health programs and services.

ADOC Medical Group is an affiliate of Heritage Provider Network (HPN), which has provided affordable and quality healthcare through its network of medical groups for more than 30 years.

HPN founder Richard Merkin, M.D., President and CEO, is the inspiration behind his organization. As a healthcare visionary, he is focused on change and innovation – and this consistent growth is a testament to our quality as we meet the needs of our members throughout Southern California.

We actively work to exceed quality standards. Our medical group has received an elite five-star rating in Standards of Excellence™ from America’s Physician Groups. This rating is the result of a comprehensive, annual survey based on criteria such as proactive care management, accountability, transparency, and best-in-class, patient-focused care.

We understand that quality healthcare is about more than seeing your doctor when you’re sick. We offer our members care resources that extend beyond the doctor’s office, like exercise programs for all ages, healthy shopping and cooking classes, and chronic condition management programs. Members who have serious health issues or chronic conditions receive extra support custom tailored to their needs.

Understanding your family

We know that everyone should have a healthcare provider who understands their needs, culture, and speaks their language, and we are proud to offer our members quality care from a diverse network of doctors. Plus, we contract with best-in-class hospitals and other healthcare facilities, enabling our members to have confidence that their families are receiving outstanding healthcare.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule affords members the right to receive a notice that describes how health information may be used and disclosed and how to get access to this information. ADOC Medical Group (ADOC) is required to send a notice ("Notice of Privacy Practices") to members of our insured Health and Long Term Care plans.

Personal Information Collection and Use:

ADOC welcomes you to their website. All information that is collected on our website is done on a voluntary basis.
